Agent at Large:
Producer, Production Coordinator, Talent Booker

The gallery taught me to see.
The rep world taught me to connect.
Time in the creative trenches taught me to produce.
I’m not your typical project manager.
I’m the producer who understands that every project, every brand activation, every live event, every experiential moment is really a piece of performance art with a business goal.

Where others see logistics, I see choreography.
Where others manage vendors, I cultivate and connect creative collaborators.
My super power is speaking fluent artist and fluent client.
And I know how to translate the two to make magic happen on deadline and on budget.

After decades of self-employment, running my own business as an agent for commercial artists working in a vast array of creative mediums, I offer my support now to live events and productions, musicians, theatrical performances and fine artists.

From my roles listed above to the most rudimentary of assistant levels, my services are available no matter how small or great the need!

I love people and what creative people do!

ABOUT ME ︎

My favorite thing is light (and cats!)

I examine and appreciate its quality everywhere I am.  Walks, that I do frequently, afford me the most stunning examples of light to see and experience.  I live in California and know that my world-view and my vision is quite informed by being here.  I grew up in Southern California but became an ardent Northern Californian when I came here to attend UC Berkeley.  I was born in Toronto, Canada and somehow, the family road trip at age 2 to a new life in America gave me a lifelong love of cars, big, open, empty spaces, adventures of the mind and a powerful intellectual curiosity.

Key to my way of thinking is that I love what is new and value what came before it

I worked in a cool gallery in Los Angeles where I got to meet one of my literary heroes Charles Bukowski and where we did events that often involved experimental films, like those of Stan Brakhage and Kenneth Anger, Minimalist music, like that of Phillip Glass, LaMonte Young and Terry Riley, poets like Bukowski and exhibits with LA’s top painters and conceptual artists of the time.

Oh the stories I have!

Next came the start of my Artists’ Agent business in San Francisco and the plunge in to the world of advertising and design.  I spent my first years primarily going to record companies and ultimately have worked with all the major lables, brands, ad agencies and design firms, many globally based.  In this capacity, I have done it all, seen it all, been it all at some point along the way - traveling, presenting, negotiating, estimating, consulting, marketing, producing, promoting, selling, championing, protecting - and of course, connecting!  Analog to digital, local to global, dotcom to dot now.

Still moving forward

Whilst I still have very deep connections with my stellar community of commercially based artists and no limits on what I can provide to them and to the loyal and the new clients within this solid background, I bring with me all the skill sets I have honed along the way to live art, music and theatrical productions.

Behind the scenes in an official capacity in any sort of production or event is my favorite place to be
